About Mascaro
Dr. Gabriel Mascaro is an anesthesiologist born in San Diego, CA but at a young age moved and was raised in Miami, Fl. He completed his undergraduate studies at The University of Notre Dame and went on to complete his medical school training at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He decided to stay in Miami and completed his Anesthesiology residency as well as his Interventional Pain Fellowship at the University of Miami and Jackson Memorial Hospital. He participated in the research, presentations at the American Society of Anesthesia (ASA) and also co-authored research presented at the American Society of Regional Anesthesia (ASRA). He served as the chief fellow during his Interventional Pain Fellowship. During his time in medical school and residency, he contributed to various organizations including the Department of Community Service (DOCS). During his time in Miami, Dr. Mascaro learned to treat both acute and chronic pain conditions with a comprehensive, multidisciplinary, and caring approach for his patients. He specializes in minimally invasive and non-interventional treatment options for complex pain conditions.
Dr. Mascaro was previously working in Nashville, TN at Vanderbilt University as an anesthesiologist during the Covid pandemic. He is excited to return to Florida and join Florida Pain Medicine. He has a special interest in neuromodulation and spinal cord stimulation therapy. In the most recent publication in Pain Physician Journal, Dr. Mascaro is authored on a narrative review titled: Comparison of FDA-Approved Electrical Neuromodulation Techniques For Focal Neuropathic Pain: A Narrative Review of DRG, HF10, and Burst Neuromodulation.
